If you are fond of this drink, surely you will like to know where does it comes from and how it was created. Its beginning is associated to medicine. More precisely, the combination of ethanol and juniper berries. That was how gin was invented and in little time it became very popular in United Kingdom. In 1740, a german jeweller proximate to science, Jean Jacob Schweppe described the industrial way to make artificial carbonate mineral water: tonic. Due to its bitterness, Bristish people combined it with gin, leading to what we know today as Gin Tonic.
